Your Employees Need Something

Unexpected:  PURPOSE

Best Western Plus

Friday, May 29

8:30-10:00 AM

Best Western Plus Rockville
1251 W Montgomery Ave, Rockville

If your business is like most, 75% of your employees underperform and complain about work to friends. That is, they are disengaged -- even if you pay well, provide good benefits and manage superbly. What's missing? Research finds they lack a sense of meaning. Fortunately, there is a solution no matter what business you are in. "Job purposing," defined as deepening work with the opportunity to serve societal needs, will help you fully engage employees - especially Millennials. Learn how the HP sales team helps small businesses be environmentally sustainable as part of the sales transaction, PwC auditors help youth be financially literate during the usual workday and other leading companies serve societal causes as an integrated part of their everyday business. Leave with innovative actionable ideas to infuse your business with fresh energy and, also, support the community.

Presented by Bea Boccalandro
Bea Boccalandro is president of VeraWorks, a global consulting firm that helps companies design, execute and measure their community involvement, including their philanthropic programs. She also teaches courses and seminars on community involvement for Georgetown University, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, the Points of Light Institute and other organizations; and is a frequent keynote speaker on business involvement in societal issues.
