Marketing and Advertising is done for you with Rockville Rewards!  The 2014 - 2015 Rockville Rewards Campaign is about to begin. The Kickoff is happening on Wednesday, September 10th!  See the article below to find out where you can get the cards that day for a special price and where you can join in the celebration!

Rockville Rewards  (www.rockvillerewards.com) is a discount card sold by area non-profits valid for discounts at participating Rockville businesses.  5 years running, this program presented by the Chamber and the City of Rockville, has effectively created brand awareness and increased customers for partner businesses.  With over 1200 newsletter subscribers, Facebook, and Twitter feeds, the program works year round to promote your businesses.

The Rockville Chamber of Commerce recently held a very successful workshop focusing on the business benefits of hiring a person with a disability. Now, you can help by simply holding a mock interview with a person with a disability. This may be one of the easiest and one of the most impactful volunteer jobs you can do.   


Join us on Tuesday, September 9, at College Living Experience. You will receive training on how to conduct an interview and be given the questions to ask. You will then conduct a mock interview with a person with a disability and give that person feedback.

Announcing an Exciting New Program from the 

Rockville Chamber of Commerce!!

Small Biz Rockville will provide monthly facilitated business roundtables for CEOs of businesses that have at least two employees and have been in business at least two years. Roundtables will be held monthly from 7:30-10:00 AM at a location to be determined and will serve as a support group where CEOs can learn from each other, the facilitator and guest speakers. Some business coaching will also be included.

Rockville Rewards Kickoff Sept. 10th

Rockville Rewards cards are a bargain at $25 but on September 10 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, you can buy a card for just $15. You can use it as soon as you buy it until August 31, 2015. The card allows you to get discounts at more than 100 Rockville businesses. And 100% of the proceeds from the card go to the nonprofit from which you buy it.

In conjunction with the Kickoff for Rockville Rewards on Wednesday, September 10th, the Rockville Chamber of Commerce will host three separate lunches. Come and enjoy a meal with other Chamber members and guests, buy your Rockville Rewards card at a discount and use it as soon as you buy it.

All lunches will be held at 12 noon. There is no charge to attend, except the cost of the lunch, but please register here!

Greg Merril is the Co-Founder & CEO of Brain Sentry. He has served as the founding CEO for three VC-backed fast growth wellness and medical product companies.  His medical products have won BusinessWeek’s “Best Product Design of the Year,” and Popular Science’s “Best of What’s New” and his success story is now part of the National Museum of American History’s permanent research collection on Innovation in Information Technology. He is an author on numerous peer reviewed technical papers and an inventor with seventeen issued patents. He served as invited guest editor for the Proceedings of the IEEE Special Issue on Virtual and Augmented Reality in Medicine. As founding CEO of HT Medical Systems he led the Company through a $42 million merger with Immersion Corp (NASDAQ:  IMMR). He was recognized as Regional E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year (‘07). 
Pam Felix and her partner Alan Cohen opened  California Tortilla in 1995 in Bethesda. California Tortilla now has 38 restaurant locations in seven states (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts), and the District of Columbia, and a location in Qatar. The chain is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland.
Cindy Feldman is the founder and owner of Progressions, a salon, spa, and store in Rockville. Ms. Feldman has always aspired to give her clientele the most exceptional and pleasant experience possible. She has worked to make sure her team of stylists and beauty professionals are continuously educated and inspired to learn more about their arts.
