• Rockville Town Square Donates $1,000 for Prom Pomp for Richard Montgomery Students

    May 05, 2016
Rockville, Md. (May 5, 2016) – Several Richard Montgomery High School students are getting a little help this year in making their prom night extra special thanks to a $1,000 donation from Rockville Town Square.

“The students selected qualified for free prom tickets and now with the help of the nearby Rockville Town Square’s merchants, they can also feel pampered in pre-prom preparation and celebration,” said Aryn Wheeler, Richard Montgomery High School prom coordinator.

Ten students selected by the school will receive a free dinner for two at one of the Square’s restaurants and five girls will get their hair styled for prom at Jouvence Aveda salon for pre-prom preparation before their May 13 dance at Rockville Hilton.

The restaurants donating dinner for the couples include: La Tasca, American Tap Room, Miso Fusion Café, Finnegan’s Wake Irish Pub, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mellow Mushroom and Gordon Biersch. Jouvence Aveda will be doing hair styling for five girls to get them ready for the big event.

“Prom is such an exciting event for high schoolers and we at Rockville Town Square felt it was a great opportunity to help make these students who go to school right here in our community feel extra special on this special night. We have a great collection of restaurants who really stepped in and wanted to help out.” said Jill Fredrick, senior marketing manager for Federal Realty Investment Trust.

Free parking validations at Rockville Town Square for the students while they dine are also being provided.
