The Mayor and Council of Rockville, Maryland will proclaim ‘Sunday, April 6, 2014,’ as Rockville Science Day in celebration of 25 years of providing hands-on science activities to visitors of all ages from throughout the region. On April 6, 2014, the Rockville Consortium for Science will present its 25th Rockville Science Day from Noon to 5 pm, at Montgomery College/Rockville Campus, 51 Mannakee Street, Rockville, MD 20850. This interactive program is for all ages and occurs rain or shine [or snow]. It is free and open to the public with free parking; food available on-site.
Rockville Science Day is co-sponsored by the City of Rockville, Montgomery College, and the Rockville Science Center. Partnering through the Rockville Science Center in this endeavor is Hitachi Consulting; Emergent BioSolutions, Inc.; DanSOURCES Technical Services, Inc.; and BioMaryland. Rockville Science Day is pleased to again serve as the opening event to a month-long celebration of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in April. An official Satellite Program, Rockville Science Day begins the fête that culminates on the weekend of April 26-27, 2014, with the National Science & Engineering Festival at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
